Hey everyone! It’s been almost a year since I’ve last posted, and after all that time I’ve come to realize a few things. But before I get to that, I’d like to share what’s been going on in my life–if not for your knowledge, then at least for my own sake of aligning myself aloud.

In December, I graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese. Currently I’m living in Tokyo on a 3-month internship that started the beginning of February. Without getting into too many details, the work I’ve been doing consists of translation and consultation for students aiming to study abroad in America. In my spare time, I’ve been exploring my other interests and hobbies, such as photography. At the bottom of this post I’ll leave some of the photos I’ve taken!

In regards to what I’m focusing on right now, and what I want to work towards in the near future–I must admit: I’m still struggling on finding a balance between my financial and creative endeavors. I far prefer working in a creative outlet, but unfortunately those fields are exceedingly difficult to compete in, and even more so to monetize in a self-funded approach. For now, I’m exploring the idea of taking a detour down a more fiscally responsible path, whilst slowly working on creative pursuits. I want to continue working on making money and making art, hoping that one day the opportunity will arise where I can combine the two.

As for my other realizations more pertinent to this blog, I’ve been mulling quite a lot over anime related thoughts, and I think it’s about time I start expounding upon them once again. To paint a picture, it’s like a dam about to burst. So stay tuned, because the rebirth of There Goes My Kokoro is almost upon us! Thanks for reading.
